Diesel Saab 9-3: what changes with a remap
Modern diesels are held back by conservative factory calibrations. A remap updates the fuel and boost maps stored in the ECU, which is why drivers notice stronger acceleration from low revs and less need to change down on hills or when loaded.

Ranked by power gain against the other diesel 9-3 engines (5 in total), the 1.9 TDI 120 is 3rd, 2 bhp above the 9-3 diesel average of 35 bhp.
