How engine tuning works on a petrol Citroen C5

A petrol remap re-works the engine management calibration: air-fuel ratio, ignition advance and boost where fitted. The result is more power and a more immediate throttle, delivered by software rather than hardware changes.

For reference, HDi is the PSA name for its high-pressure common-rail diesel engines.
